The World Economic Forum's article "4 charts to show why adopting a circular economy matters" details and illustrates the critical findings of the UNEP's Global Waste Management Outlook 2024, outlining scenarios that demonstrate the transformative benefits of adopting a circular economy. It also highlights their initiatives to promote reusable packaging and reduce plastic waste.

With the Olympics fast approaching, "How Paris 2024 is designing a Summer Olympics focused on the circular economy" explores the innovative strategies being used to embed sustainability into the games. This article by Recycling Product News outlines the event's commitment to reducing resource use, promoting eco-design, and planning for the second life of materials, setting a new standard for environmental responsibility in global sporting events.

Procter & Gamble introduces the innovative Tide evo, a detergent solution crafted into fiber tiles, eliminating the need for traditional plastic packaging. This new format, part of P&G's commitment to sustainability, features a six-layer design that dissolves on contact with water, housed in 100% recyclable paperboard. As Tide evo rolls out, starting in Colorado, it offers consumers a convenient, eco-friendly alternative to classic detergents, promising a "Tide clean" with minimal environmental impact.

A new European directive, detailed in a TF1 article, will soon prohibit misleading environmental claims like "good for the planet" or "100% natural" on product packaging unless they are scientifically verifiable. Aimed at combating "greenwashing," this regulation mandates that any ecological claims must be backed by accessible, clear evidence through websites or QR codes, ensuring transparency and genuine environmental accountability.

The new Break Free From Plastic report highlights Asia's top plastic sachet polluters, including major corporations like Unilever, Nestlé, and Procter & Gamble. Based on extensive brand audits in India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, the report exposes the environmental havoc wrought by single-use plastic sachets. It calls for immediate action to phase out these pollutants and adopt sustainable packaging solutions.
